One year of War in Ukraine

February 24, 2022, has changed everyone’s lives in Ukraine forever.

365 days of a brave fight for Freedom and Democratic values.

Both humans and animals are on the edge of survival…

Last year, Russia thought that the Ukrainians would obediently bow their heads, but we did not submit. <…> ordinary heroes - ordinary Ukrainians who, together with the rescuers, dismantled rubble after shelling, provided shelter, covered others from the debris, saved animals, performed surgeries without light, and found the strength to do the impossible every day.” – Volodymyr Zelenskiy, President of Ukraine.

After the Russian invasions of peaceful, independent Ukraine, the entire world saw video and photo evidence of destroyed zoos, shelters, eco-parks, farms, and domestic animals in apartments, homes, and yards in different cities of Ukraine. Hundreds of materials from Bucha, Irpen, Borodyanka, Yasnogorodka, and Gostomel about the atrocities of the Russian army have already flown around the world. Currently, a considerable territory of Ukraine still remains under occupation, and it is scary to imagine what horrors will unfold after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Hundreds of animals suffering from the war were left without family, a home, and proper medical help.

But despite the conditions in which the animals found themselves, they always show their devotion to us, people.

In Makariv, a suburb of Kyiv was found a dog that had been waiting for his owner, who was raped and killed by the Russian military, on the doorstep of the house for almost a month.

And another dog does not leave its owner, who the Russian invaders shot in one of the suburbs of Kyiv.

We should not remain indifferent to the sufferings of our lesser brothers.

Our mission is to rescue, heal, and reunite with old or new owners, furry victims of this unfair, uncivilized war in the 21st century.
